What to Do

  • Soften the Butter : Remove the butter from the fridge and let it sit at room temperature until it softens. Butter softening at room temperature
  • Cream the Sugar : Gradually add the sugar to the softened butter, mixing well between each addition until the mixture is light and fluffy. Butter and sugar creamed together in a bowl
  • Incorporate the Egg : Add the egg in two separate additions, mixing thoroughly after each addition to ensure it’s fully incorporated. Butter and sugar mixture with egg being added
  • Add the Flour : Gradually add the flour in batches, sifting it to avoid lumps. Mix until the dough is smooth and well combined. Flour being mixed into the butter, sugar, and egg mixture
  • Pipe the Batter : Using a 1M or 2D piping nozzle, pipe the batter into flower shapes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Batter to be piped with a 1M nozzle
  • Chill the Batter : Place the piped batter in the refrigerator and freeze for at least 1 hour before baking. Piped flower-shaped batter to be chilled in the refrigerator
  • Preheat the Oven : Preheat your oven to 240°C (464°F) for 3 minutes.
  • Bake the Cookies : Bake the cookies at 180°C (356°F) for 18 minutes, or until they turn golden brown. Note that oven temperatures can vary, so you may need to adjust the baking time and temperature based on your oven. Golden brown flower-shaped butter cookies fresh out of the oven
