What you need


Butter

★ Add color gel for the desired color effect

What to Do

  • Soften the Butter : Take the butter out of the fridge and let it soften at room temperature Softened butter resting at room temperature
  • Mix Butter and Sugar : Add the caster sugar to the softened butter in batches, mixing well after each addition. Butter mixed with caster sugar in a bowl
  • Incorporate the Egg : Add the egg to the butter-sugar mixture and mix until fully combined and no longer visible. Butter and caster sugar mixture with egg added
  • Add Flour : Gradually sift the flour into the mixture in batches, mixing well after each addition. Butter, sugar, and egg mixture with flour added.
  • Form and Freeze the Dough : After mixing, divide the dough into three portions. Add yellow food coloring to one portion and red food coloring to another. Roll each portion into a large, flat sheet and freeze them. Large plain dough rolled out flat for freezing
  • Shape the Dough : Combine the dough as shown below to create the mushroom shape. Dough combined to form a mushroom shape
  • Bake the Cookies : Bake the cookies at 120°C (248°F) for 20 minutes. Bake at low heat to preserve the color.
  • Final Decoration : Use melted chocolate to add eyes to the cookies. Add eyes to the cookie with melted chocolate
